Nine crime suspects arrested in various part of Osun State in the last one year, were paraded at the state command headquarters in Akure.  A 35yr old Russian vet by the name of Vladimir Sidorov saw red when he walked in on his best friend and wife having sex. In a crazed frenzy, he pulled out a knife and stabbed his wife's 32yr old lover multiple times before castrating him, his wife wasn't spared either as he knifed her too, both lovers died of their injuries. He then called police to report his actions and was promptly detained. A statement by the Investigative Committe in the Russian region of Tatarstan said that Sidorov who worked as a vet on a local farm had been home all day with the couple's children while his wife went to see a female friend who had just given birth. But Sidorov discovered his wife had not visited the female friend. His best friend was supposed to have driven her to the meeting, but was not answering the phone. After several visit to World’s largest nation, American actor, Steven Seagal has been granted Russian citizenship by President Vladimir Putin. A wish he has been craving for years. Speaking with reporters yesterday, Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the announcement saying: ‘This was his desire, he had really applied. On a flight back to Rome from Sweden, pope Francis was asked about Europe's migrant crisis and he said that even though countries shouldn't  'close their hearts' to those in need, they should be careful not to overstretch themselves. He told reporters: 'Governments must be open to receive them, but also do the calculations regarding their reception (capabilities), because one must not only receive a refugee but also integrate them. 'Because so many are arriving That there is no time to make provision for them and that they can find schools, homes, employment, and learn the language. Prudence has to make this calculation.'  He also said that it poses a dangerous situation if the migrants are not integrated into their host communities. He added: 'What is the danger when a refugee or migrant is not integrated? He is ghettoized, that is, he enters a ghetto. And a culture that does not develop in relation with another culture, that is dangerous.'

One of the most dangerous and notorious masked robbers in Ghana, Charles Donkor has been arrested by the Accra Regional Police Command. Charles Donkor popular known as ‘Killer’, is not new on the police records, having been arrested in 2013 for possessing one revolver pistol, one pump action gun, and 29 rounds of live ammunition was arrested for the second time again on Tuesday near Pokuase in the Greater Accra Region following police intelligence in an operation which reportedly lasted for three hours. During the operation several weapons and ammunition such as AK47, an SMG rifle, two AK 47 magazines, two G3 magazines, forty-three G3 empty shells, 188 rounds of G3 ammunition, and 77 rounds of AK 47 ammunition were all recovered from him. The Rivers State Police Command has arrested 30 kidnappers,20 cultists, and foiled 10 armed robberies, 6 suspected armed robbers, 5 cultists and 9 kidnappers were fatally wounded. Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that APC has deliberately threatened the foundation of democracy by its intimidation of the judiciary through false allegations and illegal arrests. Speaking at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Friday during a courtesy visit by the Port Harcourt Branch of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Wike warned lawyers to not allow the deliberate destruction of the judiciary under any guise. He stated that because of the orchestrated harassment of judges by the ruling party, no judge will ever deliver judgments against the interest of the Federal Government and the ruling party. Teodorin Obiang Nguema, the vice president and son of the President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo has seen over N3billion worth of his 11 super cars seized by Prosecutors in Switzerland who are presently investigating him for money laundering. According to Francois Pilet, an investigative journalist with L’Hebdo, he confirmed the seizure of the vehicles, which includes a Porche, Ferrari, Bugatti Veyron and others took place in Geneva on Monday October 31, 2016, where he was accused of plundering his country's oil wealth to buy luxuries, including a private jet and Michael Jackson memorabilia.
